Hungarian Silver Cross Cap Badge, issued by the 
KuK (Royal and Imperial Army), features the 
Imperial Crown of Austria and the Royal Crown 
of Hungary. 
Inscribed with the Latin motto "Indivisibiliter et 
Inseparabiliter" (Indivisible and Inseparable), 
this historic badge symbolizes the unity of the 
Austro-Hungarian Empire during the Great War.

Marked with GES. GES (copyright protected) 
on the reverse, this piece was produced to 
support the Austro-Hungarian Silver Cross 
humanitarian organization, which was founded 
in 1916 to provide care for wounded military. 
The badge was only in use between November 
1916 and November 1918, making it a rare and 
highly collectible item from the reign of Kaiser 
Karl.
