The sinking of the Ocean liner RMS Lusitania on 
7 May 1915, by the German U-boat U-20, was 
widely exploited by the British propaganda, 
turned the international opinion against Germany 
and contributed to the US entry into World War I.

Condition as in the photos: The lid of the box is 
detached at its hinge. The leaflet is folded, with 
rust stains and tears - note that it is torn nearly 
in half along the central horizontal fold.
