ITALY: Fascist March on Rome Commemorative 
Medal, instituted in 1923 for participants in the 
October 1922 event that brought Mussolini to 
power. 
Initially only the Volunteers of the National 
Security Militia (MVSN - "Blackshirts") had 
the right to wear the medal, however since 
1928 the right was extended to every member 
of the Armed Forces that had took part in the 
March on Rome.
This scarce variant, produced by Lorioli & 
Castelli, is one of the most sought-after 
examples of Fascist-era Italian decorations.250
