awarded for the 1941 Yugoslavia campaign by 
the 2nd Army under General Vittorio Ambrosio. 
This campaign included the occupation of 
Ljubljana and the Dalmatian coast. 
Designed and signed by renowned Italian artist 
Costantino Affer (1906–1987), this is a rare 
wartime-issued medal reflecting Fascist Italy's 
Balkan military operations.
