Pacific Theater between Dec 7, 1941 – Mar 2, 
1946. 
Initially a ribbon (1942), the full medal was 
approved in 1947 and first awarded to General 
Douglas MacArthur. Designed by Thomas H. 
Jones (obverse) and Adolph A. Weinman 
(reverse). 
A classic piece of U.S. military history and a 
must-have for any WW2 medal collection.
