Germany WW1 Group Photo Addressed to SMS Lützow Sunk at Jutland 3 Days Later, 1916, 23rd Landwehr Infantry Regiment, Feldpost 24th Division

Imperial Germany: Original WW1 group photo in 
postcard format featuring German soldiers of the 
23rd Landwehr Infantry Regiment - among them 
a junior officer with binoculars. 
Feldpost-marked by the 24th Landwehr Infantry 
Division on 29 May 1916.
The photo is addressed to a Seeman (Matrose) 
of SMS Lützow (a German Derfflinger-class 
battlecruiser). 
SMS Lützow was sunk 3 days later (01 June 
1916) in the Battle of Jutland after she sunk the 
British battlecruiser HMS Invincible (many 
historians also give her credit for the sinking of 
the armored cruiser HMS Defence).
