This is the version of the wound badge that was 
awarded to the wounded German Volunteers 
of the Legion of Condor - the German Forces 
that supported Franco during the Spanish Civil 
War (1936–1939). 
Presented to Army, Navy & Luftwaffe personnel 
alike. 
This early version of the NAZI-era Wound Badge 
features the iconic swastika over the WW1-style 
helmet. 
The same design of the badge  (but with solid 
reverse) continued to be used until 1940 when 
it was replaced by the common WW2 type.
Magnetic - iron made and extremely scarce.
